5 Total Body Resistance Band Exercises to Get Fit at Home
I love a good gym class, and nothing makes a workout more social than meeting up with my Fit4Mom mamas, but when my schedule doesn’t allow for a commute, my resistance bands save the day.
If you don’t own any, I seriously suggest grabbing a set. They are inexpensive, take up very minimal space (a huge bonus for me!), and weigh next-to-nothing meaning you can travel with them.
Oh, and they deliver a kickass workout with the right exercises!

You can get a total flat band, or more of a tube with handles. Both work great, it’s totally up to your preference. I recommend these options:
YOGU Resistance Band Set (flat) – $10.99 on Amazon
REEHUT Resistance Band, Exercise Tube – $7.99-$14.49 each on Amazon
Tribe Resistance Band Set (5 bands plus ankle strap and door anchor) – $20.98 on Amazon
Here are my favorite combination exercises that will give you the biggest bang for your buck. Do them each in sequence for 1 minute with 15 seconds in between and you’ll see what I mean!
Squat with Upright Row
Reverse Lunge with Curl
Side Lunge with Lateral Raise
Curtsey Lunge with Lat Pulldown
Pushup with Leg Lift
You can drop and do one at a time throughout the day – great for a super quick energy and mood boost – for 60 seconds, or if you have 10 minutes, do each for a minute, back-to-back with 15 seconds between, for two rounds and call it a day!
I work with women from preconception through early motherhood, when exercise has a way of falling by the wayside. If you could use outside accountability, email me at Samantha@simplywellcoaching.com and during your free 20 minute Discovery Call we can decide if you’re a fit for health coaching!
