4 Simple Baby Organization Tips for New Moms

Parenting is one of the toughest things to do, which is why you need to find ways to make it easy on yourself. Since you know approximately when the baby will arrive, you have plenty of time to prepare for what’s to come.

Here are 4 of the best baby organization tips to help you get ready.

Use Baskets and Shelves

A common set up for a baby’s room includes baskets for the items you need to store. Get shelves for these baskets, so you can store toys, clothes, and more necessary baby items. Also, try to keep these baskets easily accessible, and use over-the-door storage if you run out of room.

I got two sets of these storage baskets and use them all over the house.

Label Everything

For the baskets that you will use, label all of them with color-coded dots to increase your organization. Doing so will make things incredibly easy when you have to locate what you need at any given moment. Color coding can make it far easier on yourself because you can find something quickly.

Keep Necessities Easily Accessible

Another baby organization tip is to keep necessities easily accessible, whether that’s food or diapers. For instance, you can have a mini fridge full of baby formula in the baby’s room. You should also have diapers and wipes readily available by the changing table so that you don’t waste time looking for them. Diaper caddy’s like this one are a lifesaver!

Organize Clothes

With baby showers and plenty of gifts, your child will have plenty of clothes. A baby will grow out of them rather quickly, though. Try to divide up your baby’s clothes based on ages like 0-3 months, 3-6, and so on, in a specific place for each clothing item/age group.

You should then remove the clothes that you no longer use, and store them in a labeled box in case you have another child, or donate them to a local children’s charity.
